Epstein purchased a smaller island - the Little St James - back in the late 1990s, but later purchased the larger Great St James in 2016 for approximately $22.5 million.
These photos reveal he had created development schemes to develop the sprawling island by building homes, an open-air theater, an submerged workspace and a pool.
Marked on the blueprint is Pillsbury Sound, a waterway in the region, indicated on the bottom right.
The architectural drawing is annotated in red pen markings and includes a legend labelling various parts of the land.
Alongside the main plan are what seem to be an additional nine construction diagrams and architectural plans, including designs for boat shelters.
